A pair of aged ormolu-mounted sèvres-style cobalt blue-ground porcelain vases and cover, painted with mythological scenes of part of the Vulcan presenting Venus with arms for Aeneas after the painting of François Boucher 1757, within a richly gilt raised paste seeded cartouche, the reverse with landscape naturalistic scene, the shoulder flanked by upright acanthus-scroll handles suspending rings, with bottleneck form enriched with gild foliate pattern and circled with ormolu laurel wreath, surmounted with domed cover with pinecone finial, raised on ornamented conforming socle and square base with foliate cartouche.
